LeBron Raymone James Sr. was born on the 30th of December in 1984. He is an American professional basketball player. King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful player of all-time and often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketball player of all time. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships as well as the four NBA MVP Awards as well as four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He is also the proud owner of 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James holds the record for the highest amount of points scored during the post-season. He is second in total career point total and seventh the most assists in his career. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, which is a record. He was also selected for The NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. James has played in ten NBA Finals the third most all time including eight consecutively between the years of 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was selected to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete in NBA history to score 10,000 points or more in a career as well as assists and rebounds. James played basketball in St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media as a future NBA star. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. In his time as the NBA rookie of the year 2004 he established himself quickly as one of the most elite players in the league, earning the NBA MVP awards in 2009 and 2010. James went free agency following his failure to win championships with Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent actions in sports history.
