Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician. She started by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity and sexual orientation. Then she expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. In the following years, she took up hip-hop and classical training. When she was in high her schooling, she specialized in journalism and woman's studies. She also studied Mandarin during a time in Beijing. The focus changed to music once she finished her studies. After becoming famous through the Internet and her own My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually was included on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$. The latter track connected directly with another Awkwafina project NYC A travel guide that was released in the year 2015. Alongside having a book published as well, she also worked singing. She has appeared in films including Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018, with several high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
