Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the third out of five brothers born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) she was a domestic worker, and her father, Thad Harold Harden was an active soldier. Her family often relocated. When they lived in Greece, she became interested with theater and went to Athens performances. Harden began college in Europe at American universities and later moved to the US to complete her master's degree at University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA from NYU. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers' cleverly satirical homage of the gangster film from 1990, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies in the year 1986 (in the less-known The Imagemaker), she appeared as a seductive female lead in her first role in the mainstream. Harden received praise for her stunning performance as Verna the seductive, difficult-to-control woman. Harden was able to continue her steady work in the role of a supporting actress, as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92) the biopic for television that portrayed Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
