Alanis Morissette
Alanis Nadine was born on the 1st of June 1974, in Ottawa, Canada. Alanis can be described as the female version of Alan which is her father's birth name. Her siblings are Chad (Alanis Twin) and Wade. She learned to play piano when she was just 6 and the guitar at age 21. In 1986 Alanis created a song titled Fate Stay with me (b-side: Find The Right Man). Then, in Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums: Alanis (in the year 1991) and The Time Is The Time in 1992. When she was 18, she relocated to Toronto and collaborated with various singers and musicians, but the collaborations didn't work. She finally met her partner in the year 1994: Glen Ballard. He had worked with other artists like Aretha, Michael Jackson, and Barbra. She moved to LA after turning 19. Madonna came out with "Jagged Little Pill" the song on June 13th the 13th of June, 1995. Alanis's music was autobiographical. JLP is the 3rd most-sold album ever and has sold more than thirty million times across the globe.
